Color Trend: Tarnished Silver + Giveaway

Redford House Tarnished Silver

Color is great, but if you're looking to add something eye catching to the room, nothing makes a statement like a splash of silver. Silver creates a spot of contrast in a neutral room while still blending with its surroundings and, when it comes to adding glamour without looking gaudy, silver is a safe bet. Tarnished Silver is one of the numerous finishes in our Cottage House Collection. Here are a few of our favorite ways to incorporate a splash of silver into any home:

One: Audrey Mirror in Tarnished Silver features a beveled mirror and a detailed frame making this mirror truly exquisite. A lovely addition for the entry hall, bedroom or guest bath.
Two: The Jenny Chandelier features natural shells in a blue/green iridescent tint beautifully draping downward. An antiqued silver finish completes the rustic look.
Three: Looking for a bed that's feminine but sophisticated? Go no further than the Marcel Bed Luxe in Tarnished Silver. The shape is romantic and girly, but it still whispers of elegance.
Four: Swedish Poster Bed is a classic swedish-style design with lots of quiet beauty. Shown in the beautiful Tarnished Silver finish.
Five: The Clarke Nightstand in Tarnished Silver features four drawers (two large and two small) and lots of detail with spindle-like accents.
Six: The Swedish Cane Side Chair in Tarnished Silver features a cane seat and exquisite detail throughout its elegant frame.
Seven: The Carved Dining Table in Tarnished Silver features a detailed 6 Ft (72 inch) top and beautifully carved legs.
Eight: The Miranda Buffet features a rectangular top that is over 5 ft wide with 3 one-door cabinets. Shown in Tarnished Silver.
Nine: Bennett Entertainment Console in Tarnished Silver features a 66 inch top, saber legs, contemporary round brass hardware and four doors for your entertainment storage.

  18. I love Bennett Entertainment Center!

We are a military household and just bought a house for living and future rental (when we move again) in Destin FL that was a foreclosure...and it sure has been a lot of work!

While flaws have been fixed...I believe that the true key to making even this fixer upper is decorating...not all the cosmetic and costly repairs. All this furniture would be perfect for our little fixer upper beach house.
